Can You Do An Early Walk-In For Biometrics Appointment? Absolutely! Although the biometrics appointment notice will tell you the exact date, time of your appointment, you don’t need to wait for it. I went to my own biometrics appointment 4 hours before my appointment time and I was accepted to do my biometrics.

You can try going to have your biometrics taken earlier than the scheduled date. They might accept you and take your biometrics when you go there, even though it is earlier than the date of your appointment. It will depend on their workload that day, and is in their discretion.

My biometrics for AOS have been scheduled for end of Dec. I think as long as you have your appointment letter, then going early is okay. Of course some offices are going to be picky about things, but most seem to welcome you if they are not busy. I think explaining about long drives or in the area already for other things might help. It is worth a try.

If they tell you it's okay to go in earlier for your appointment, then you can make plans to go as early as works for you. Biometrics appointments can take a while, so it is best to walk in for yours at slower times of the day. You shouldn’t have to wait too long in line if you show up during the slower morning and afternoon hours.

Go early – the applicant can to the ASC earlier than the appointment date as a “walk-in.” Be sure to bring your appointment notice and politely request that your biometrics be taken. Be prepared to wait until others with current appointments are served.

Applicants who are in the United States will attend their biometrics appointment at a local USCIS office, relatively early in the green card application process. Applicants who are abroad will attend a biometrics appointment at the U.S. consulate that is processing their green card application, typically after their green card interview has been scheduled.

Super priority – get a decision in 24 hours. Read more about processing times here. If your visa is eligible for super-priority, then you will have the ability to choose this during the payment screen. This will give you a decision within 24 hours. Just to note this doesn’t give you a faster biometric appointment.
