I figured out by talking to a USCIS agent that biometrics has been applied to my I-765 application. I want to know how much time does it take to approve EAD after this step? Also, if possible, can you tell me what are the steps in I-765 processing after biometrics?

How soon do you get the physical card after Biometrics applied? I-765 (EAD) PD 5/7/2020, marriage based green card. Ead was approved in September before Biometrics (weird).

If seeking EAD based on say your status as an F-1 student, no biometrics are needed. But if based on a green card petition for instance, then biometrics may be required. As you can see, some of my readers' real cases are actually taking longer than what USCIS posts on their website. I think this may be because the estimated time range from USCIS is being updated every months and it really various case by case. So I would suggest you check the processing time range once a month to make sure your case is still within the range before you contact the agency!
