USCIS allows applicants to reschedule their appointments to a later date if they may not be able to appear for the scheduled appointment. Applicants can find information on rescheduling an appointment on their appointment notice.

They sent the notice for biometric appointment now and currently the appointment is on 29th oct, and we would like to reschedule it to buy some time as she wants to wait for travel due to covid. Wondering is we can reschedule keeping in mind that the current biometric appointment date is past the date of her requested stay.

After you schedule an appointment, the confirmation screen and confirmation email will indicate a date and time by which you can make any change to the appointment, such as rescheduling or canceling it. After that date/time, no changes are allowed...

What are my options to reschedule biometrics appointment (mail, phone, online)? Initially my immigration attorney told me to reschedule appointment over phone. Unfortunately, I tried to call USCIS at +1(800)375-5283 and they told me that they can't reschedule these appointments over phone, because "Alexandria office schedules them and they don't have any control".

After suspending biometric screening requirements for H4 EAD applicants, USCIS announced that applicants, petitioners, requestors and beneficiaries can now call the USCIS Contact Center (800-375-5283) to reschedule their biometric services appointments. Previously, applicants had to submit their rescheduling requests in writing.

Rescheduling a Biometrics Appointment It is generally recommended that you attend the appointment that is scheduled for you. However, you may reschedule the appointment if necessary. I wouldn't recommend more than 1 rescheduling... if you're not careful your case could be denied because of your failure to do the biometrics... don't push your luck... 0 found this answer helpful | 1 lawyer agrees
