To enable or setup biometrics, please navigate to 'Settings' and then either 'Face ID & Password' or 'Touch ID & Passcode'. In the settings you can specify to use biometrics only for the Workforce App should the user want to use a passcode for other phone operations. Apple have more detailed guides on how to setup biometrics:

You can add multiple fingerprints (both of your thumbs and forefingers, for example). Go to Settings > Touch ID & Passcode. Tap Add a Fingerprint. Follow the onscreen instructions.

After you set a passcode, you can use Face ID or Touch ID to unlock iPhone (depending on your model). For additional security, however, you must always enter your passcode to unlock your iPhone under the following conditions: You turn on or restart your iPhone. You haven’t unlocked your iPhone for more than 48 hours.

You can't turn off your passcode. You can't change passcode settings because they're unavailable, gray, or dimmed. You see an alert about a Passcode Requirement. For example, you might see a message that says you must change your iPhone unlock passcode within 60 minutes. Contact your IT administrator for help.

While installing a new app on an iPhone (also works with iPhones with Touch ID) the phone will ask users to authenticate if by verifying the biometric data (Face ID or Touch ID or even passcode).

Starting with iOS 14.5, all apps must receive your permission before tracking you across apps and websites owned by other companies to target advertising to you or share your information with a data broker. After you grant or deny permission to an app, you can change permission later, and you can stop all apps from requesting permission.
