Post Office no longer offers a biometric enrolment service to UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) customers. All customers who are required to enrol their biometrics from 1 August 2021 will now be required to book an appointment to attend a Service and Support Centre (SSC) or UK Visas and Citizenship Application Services (UKVCAS) centre.

There was no letter to enroll your biometrics at the post office. There was a declaration letter which needs to be signed and brought to the appointment. My qualifying period started on 14 November 2018 (my 5 year anniversary in the country is Dec. 12, 2018). I used the new online system, and must attend an appointment at one of the new centres.

After we completed application online and paid the amount outlined for standard service £4816.40 for both of us, further mandatory action was to book an appointment to collect biometrics and scan documents in support of the application. However, due to the COVID 19 all centres are closed and we cannot book an appointment for biometrics.
