People going through the naturalization process will need to attend a biometrics appointment which must not be missed. Once the U.S. citizenship applications Form N-400, Application for Naturalization filed by the applicants are approved, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) will schedule them for biometrics appointments.

Biometrics: Applicants who file Form N-400 and later appear at an application support center (ASC) for biometric capturing are required to submit to a photograph and signature process. If we determine you are eligible for naturalization, we may use the photograph taken at the ASC on your Certificate of Naturalization.

The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service (USCIS) requires a biometrics appointment (sometimes called the “fingerprint appointment”) as part of many applications for immigration benefits. At these appointments, the U.S. government will take your fingerprints, pictures, and signature to use for background-check and identification purposes.

One was the tax invoice and one was the booking confirmation. The booking confirmation is a must to take to your appointment and this will be the thing that will track you through your biometric appointments.

You will need to go for a biometrics appointment if you apply for an immigration benefit with the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) such as an H4 visa. This will include applying for a work permit, citizenship, a green card, or even possibly a green card renewal.
