Although your child may be under 14 years of age and you may not have paid the biometrics fee for your child, he or she must still appear at the ASC if a biometrics appointment notice has been issued by the USCIS.

USCIS will not accept Form I-942 if you submit it after filing Form N-400. Only the application filing fee will be reduced (by 50%, from $640 to $320). The biometrics fee will remain $85. Therefore, if eligible for the fee reduction, you will pay only $405.
