This will typically take place directly after your green card or visa interview. There is no need to worry. Generally, you don’t have to provide any medical information, blood, or DNA samples at your biometrics appointment. You might only need to give a blood or DNA sample if your application is based on a blood relationship, for example.

If you live in the U.S. and are filing for a Family Green Card for your parent, child, spouse, or sibling who lives outside the U.S., you do not need to accompany them to their Green Card interview. For employment-based Green Cards, only employees must attend the interview.

In most USCIS Field Offices, the “green card” interview for an immediate relative (spouse, child, or parent) of a U.S. citizen is fairly straightforward. At the beginning of the interview, the examiner will “swear in” the applicant, so that all information is given under oath.

Generally speaking, no. As noted above, you’ll have to wait a few weeks or months to receive your green card after your interview. USCIS will only send out your green card after you receive your official approval notice.

The interview usually takes place at the nearest consulate in their country. Essentially, an interview should be scheduled in advance, and in some cases, it might entail a medical exam as well. After your parents pay the fee, they can attend the interview. If everything goes as planned, they will get an immigration visa.

Now, USCIS has been issuing requests for evidence asking green card applicants to mail their medical examination forms to USCIS directly. This move may indicate the very real possibility that USCIS is considering waiving the interview requirement for other green card applicants (such as marriage-based applicants), at least on a case-by-case basis.

A Green Card interview is the U.S. government’s way of meeting the Green Card applicant in person to verify that the applicant is eligible to become a permanent resident and that all of the information on their application is valid. This interview is usually the final step of the Green Card application and normally happens 7 to 15 months after filing.

The fraud interview usually takes place immediately after an initial green card interview. In it, the officer will separate you from your spouse and ask each of you several questions about your relationship. They will then compare your answers for any discrepancies. If USCIS asks you to perform a fraud interview, you shouldn’t worry too much.

When you apply for a benefit from U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) — such as a work permit, citizenship, green card or even a green card renewal — a standard part of the process is a biometrics appointment (also known as a biometrics screening). It may sound scary, but it shouldn’t be a concern for most people.
I figured out by talking to a USCIS agent that biometrics has been applied to my I-765 application. I want to know how much time does it take to approve EAD after this step? Also, if possible, can you tell me what are the steps in I-765 processing after biometrics?

Sometimes the background checks take a bit longer than others-this is particularly true when you have a common name. For whatever reason, I've noticed cases to take somewhat longer during the summer months. As long as you have a clean record, I would not worry too much about time between the biometrics and the interview.
