Sometimes the background checks take a bit longer than others-this is particularly true when you have a common name. For whatever reason, I've noticed cases to take somewhat longer during the summer months. As long as you have a clean record, I would not worry too much about time between the biometrics and the interview.

According to USCIS records, your application is still pending processing of your fingerprints. Due to COVID 19, biometrics (fingerprint) appointments are pending. At this time, we anticipate you should receive a decision or other notice from USCIS within 60-90 days of this notice. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by delays in processing.

Just looking for someone general understanding on timing for the process. N-400 was submitted in October and biometrics were done in November. Online, it says estimated complete date June 2020 and wait time (as of today) 4 months.

Here’s my N-400 timeline (Tampa, FL field office) 8/2/2020 - Filed and submitted N400 documents online (received online receipt notice same day) 12/14/2020 - Received biometrics reuse notice. 1/4/2021 - receive interview scheduled notice. 2/23/2021 - Interview and citizenship test. 3/22/2021 - Oath taking ceremony.

"On December 5, 2017, we scheduled an interview for your Form N400, APPLICATION FOR NATURALIZATION. We will mail you an interview notice. Please follow any instructions in the notice." I have pre-arranged out of country trip and will be back on Jan 9th. I have not received the actual notice letter yet.

Generally, the whole process will only take about 15 to 20 minutes, but you might have to wait a little beforehand for your turn. Remember, the people assisting you at your biometrics appointment do not have any information about your case at the USCIS.

I didn’t even get any update on my EAD at all after the biometrics. Interview Experience: (Dowtown LA) Waited in the waiting room for around 30mins. Noticed some individuals subtly observing (not sure if also applicants or what).
