Back when I went through this 15 years ago it was a 10 month timeframe from acceptance of my application to my interview. Biometrics occurred two months after submission. So call it 8 months from biometrics. One data point does not make an answer however.

Many people expect to receive a response or next steps from the USCIS within a few weeks of their biometrics appointment. Unfortunately, the wait will be much longer than this. Typically, it can take anything between 5 and 10 months before you get a notice for your green card interview, for example.

Eventually, you get set for an interview. Most interviews are taking about 5 or 6 months to get scheduled. Receipt of Green Card 1-4 weeks. Applicant receives I-551 green card from the USCIS 1 to 2 weeks after approval of the adjustment of status. How long does it take to get a green card after Biometrics? It depends on the type of application.

When you attend your green card biometrics appointment, an authorized representative will take your picture, scan your fingerprints, and verify your signature. The process is fairly quick, with most applicants in and out in about a half hour.
