10pmStalker 6. Filed: Timeline. Posted November 4, 2014. So I finally had my biometrics appointment on Nov 3 after they reviewed my i-485. I checked for the update on the USCIS site this morning and its saying they mailed me a request for initial evidence on Nov 3.

The answer is that USCIS normally does not allow reusing of biometrics with certain very narrow exceptions for certain military members. For all other applicants, USCIS normally requires a separate set of new biometrics to be scheduled and completed as part of each new application or process.

This notice informs you that USCIS is able to reuse your previously captured fingerprints and other biometrics. USCIS will run the same security checks and use your biometric data as in the past, however, it is not necessary for you to appear at a USCIS Application Support Center (ASC) for a biometrics appointment.
